Dr Sharon Cox is an Epidemiologist who has lived and worked in various countries in Africa and Asia, including Tanzania (2007-14) where she met Dr Trish Scanlan and witnessed the beginnings of TLM. After a research career in diseases including malaria, anaemia, sickle cell disease and tuberculosis, Sharon now lives in the UK and is the principal epidemiologist for tuberculosis surveillance for the UK Health Security Agency. She retains an honorary position at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine.
